Course
Outline
The aims of this course are to introduce and enhance students’ communication skills, particularly in discussion of topics that require giving opinions and eliciting and commenting on opinions of others. Students will be required to read a textbook-based passage on a topic and understand different views of the topic. In order to organize their own opinions logically they will review some specific vocabulary for that topic and learn phrases required for group discussion. Additional speaking activities will also be used to maximize opportunities to speak English.
