グローバル化する社会が直面する環境問題は、その性質や特徴、人々に対する影響が、大きく変化してきている。この授業では、環境問題の本質を理解し、持続可能な環境に向けた対策を考える。洋書を教科書として使用しこの分野で使用される英語表現も学ぶ。

|
環境問題への理解を深めるために、環境と人間の関係を、」「統治」という概念の助けをかりて分析する。前半では、政治的、後半では、経済的な統治から、具体的な環境問題の背後に存在する人間社会が抱える問題を浮き彫りにする。最後に、明らかになった問題を解決するための方策を考える。
