到達目標 Aim/goal
The aim of this lecture series is to better understand certain ways culture influences behaviour and how we can observe and analyse it. Key words are: AWARENESS, SENSITIVITY, ANALYSIS and OBJECTIVITY. We will not be studying any particular culture. Students will be expected to draw on their own culture for examples. It is highly recommended, but not required, that students have already taken 異文化間コミュニケーションII a.

授業以外の学修 What Students are expected to do outside of the class
Students need to keep in mind the aims/goals of the course and understand what needs to be done or prepared for the next class at all times. Several hours must be used to complete all assignments to meet set deadlines. If they are absent for any reason they must still follow all requirements. It is the student's responsibility to contact instructors if they are any questions. Especially they need to prepare for presentations, including contacting their peers.
評価方法 Evaluation
1. Students actively and regularly attend & must keep a portfolio of detailed lecture notes and assignments in an A-4 Notebook (25%) 2. Short class-related assignments (5 x 10%) 3. Final written analysis assignment (25%)
課題(試験やレポート等)に対する フィードバックの方法 Feedback methods on assignments
Feedback on any assignments will be given to both the class as a whole and then to individual students. Some feedback will be in written form but it will mostly be oral. Students are expected to pay attention to feedback and apply suggestions. If there are any questions about the feedback it is the student's responsibility to contact their instructor as soon as possible.

履修前提要件 Prerequisites
This lecture series overlaps with my Kenkyu-hou I (研究法演習 I) seminar. Students taking my zemi would benefit greatly from taking this class. This is especially true for students returning from study abroad in 3rd Year who join my zemi from 4th Year. This course also continues on from 異文化間コミュニケーションIIa, however students can enter without having taken that class. Students who are absent for training or job-hunting should notify me and try to keep up through reading.
