What Students
are expected
to do
in class
Classes will be interactive and communicative, so that students’ active participation is expected in each activity. Students will practice introducing themselves based on the short essay they write on themselves referring to the textbook so that they could make their self-introduction in a confident manner (they will have an opportunity to introduce themselves in a Skype English lesson). They will also learn to describe the Department of Global Citizenship Studies and Seisen University using various resources at hand(within 5 minutes). They will practice preparing legitimate questions to ask in the interviews in their future fieldwork and learn strategies to conduct effective interviews in order to gain the best result. At the end of the term, a guest speaker would be invited to simulate an interview in the fieldwork.
