|
This class will focus on four important parts of presenting: 1. ideas 2. Planning 3. Organization 4. Delivery. There will also be equal importance placed on the verbal, visual and written elements of presentation.

授業を全て英語で行う科目 This class will practice all in English.

Students in this Presentation Workshop will combine careful written planning, clear oral organization and use of visuals to create basic, interesting and polished presentations. (As a side skill you will also develop better computer skills.)

学習活動 【授業前】 What Students are expected to do before class
|
|
Students should be ready to learn and be ready when they have to present. If they are working with other students they must keep in touch.
|

学習活動 【授業中】 What Students are expected to do in class
|
|
Models and demonstrations will be used at each stage so students have a clear idea of what to do. Since there is no textbook it is very important that students attend class regularly to see these demonstrations and to participate in all activities. Students should do their best for all activities and presentations.

学習活動 【授業後】 What Students are expected to do after class
|
|
Students prepare for future classes and presentations. They should also keep their notebooks up to date. They should contact me if they have questions.

評価方法 Evaluation
|
|
Grades will be decided on a balanced performance in the following areas: 1. In-class participation, including notebooks. 2. Graded presentation practice activities. 3. Presentations 'People', 'Place'. 4. Regular and active class attendance.

There is no textbook. One A-4 size notebook for handout prints, class notes, presentation planning and other. This will be part of the class grade. Planning will be done in Notebooks but most final written work will be typed, so easy computer access is important.
