The course will cover many key ideas related to culture and intercultural communication (it will NOT focus on any one culture, for example 'American culture'). These are some of the topics to be covered:

- Cultural sensitivity & competence
- Cultural dichotomies
- Different forms of non-verbal communication
- Culture shock
- Ways to observe cultural differences.
Mainly lecture in English using PowerPoint. There will be some in-class activities and group work. There will also be some reading and writing as part of homework activities for the next class or as assignments. It will also use an 'experiential' approach (learning by doing). Students will be required to keep their own notes using A-4 notebooks..
