Outline
This course provides practice and theory to develop a creative understanding of translation, language, and literature. It will develop the translation skills and theories introduced in previous courses.We will focus particularly on translating works of literary fiction, but will also translate some nonfiction works. We will read some writings by professional translators about translation. Students will do at least one independent translation project.

Aim/goal
This course aims at developing students' creative abilities in translation and their appreciation of language and literature. It will also give them some theoretical background on translation, and introduce some writings about translation by translators. It will provide students with practical experience to develop their translation skills.
