|
This course provides an overview of theories in translation studies for translation researchers. Beginning with the fundamental definition of translation, we will explore the multifaceted nature of translation as both a product and a process.
Each week students will be offered a lecture and produce mini reports as homework assignments. By the conclusion of the course, each student will have completed a total of 12 mini reports, which will contribute to their thesis writing.
It's important to note that all communication in this class will be conducted in English, encompassing lectures, written reports, presentations, and student discussions.

|
The objective of this course is to enhance students' theoretical understanding of translation. Students will receive a concise overview of translation theories in English, followed by readings in the same language, resulting in the creation of a mini report. The course will conclude with presentations, during which students will integrate the knowledge acquired throughout the semester with their individual research.

This class serves as an extension of 翻訳法演習Ia. Although signing up for 翻訳法演習Ia is not obligatory, it could prove advantageous to read both 翻訳法演習Ia and b. The use of English is mandatory for all in-class and out-of-class activities.
